Thanks to Al McLean and Gene McGough from the Jag-Lovers forum, I was able to identify the drain tap on the XJ12.
I sprayed the brass valve with some penetrating fluid and let it sit for an hour. I then managed to open the lever using a big set of pliers.
I placed a 19Litre bucket underneath and let it drip. The bucket was almost full when the dripping stopped. Therefore there was something between 17 to 19 litres of coolant in the system. The coolant was a clear bright neon green with a sweet mint fragrance.
